Which DirectX version is the best for PUBG: Battlegrounds?
Reddit user mike-lesnik experimented and found out which version of DirectX works best for PUBG: Battlegrounds. The first thing the author did was to run tests in a big city (which doesn't put too much load on the graphics card) and came to the following conclusion:
DX11E shows much higher FPS than DX11. If you are experiencing a lack of FPS in big cities and your graphics card is less than 90% loaded, I recommend using the DX11E.DX12 is broken and in such a state is generally not usable, obviously, the developers rushed with its public introduction.
A similar test by mike-lesnik in four smoke grenades (which load video cards greatly) concluded the following:
DX11 is slightly better than DX11E. If your graphics card is constantly loading above 90%, it might make sense to switch back to DX11. But I am still in favor of DX11E because of its advantages in big cities. DX12 is broken and in such a state is generally not suitable for use, obviously, the developers rushed with its public introduction.
Recall that in the 13.2 Update, the developers of PUBG: Battlegrounds added the ability to select the version of DirectX in the graphics settings. The following options are available:
- DirectX 11 Option: Default graphic option
- DirectX 11 Enhanced Option: Performance-optimized options through rendering pipeline improvements
- DirectX 12
