PGC 2024 Returns to Traditional Tournament Format

The organizers of the PUBG Global Championship 2024 have announced a change to the tournament format for next month's championship.

Abandoning the new SMASH Rule — where teams must first reach a set point threshold and then win a match to claim victory — the competition will instead use the traditional S.U.P.E.R. Ruleset. During the Grand Finals, teams will play 12 matches over two days.

The PUBG Global Championship 2024 will be held from December 9-22 at the Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event's initial prize pool of $1.5 million will be boosted by crowdfunding proceeds from the Pick'em Challenge.
