PUBG Global Championship 2024: Format, Venue, and Prize Pool Announced

PUBG STUDIOS has revealed the details of the PUBG Global Championship (PGC) 2024, including its venue, prize pool, and tournament format.

The championship will take place from December 9 to 22 at the Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The initial prize pool is set at $1.5 million, with additional funds contributed through the Pick'em Challenge crowdfunding.

PGC 2024 will consist of three competitive circuits. In the first circuit, 15 teams qualified through PGC Points and one Malaysian team will compete. The top 12 teams from this stage will advance to the second day, where they will join the 5th to 8th ranked teams from the PGS rankings. The top 12 from this stage will then move to the third day, competing alongside the top four PGS-ranked teams.

The format will repeat across Circuits 2 and 3, with standings based on cumulative points from previous stages. At the end of Circuit 3, the 16 teams with the highest points across all circuits will qualify for the Grand Finals.

The Grand Finals will feature the «Smash Rule» format, requiring teams to reach a points threshold and then secure a match victory to win. Finals will continue until a qualifying team wins a match.
