80k new players land on the Battlegrounds after F2P switch
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS gained around 80,000 new daily users since the game switched to a conditional-free distribution model (which occurred in January 2022). KRAFTON, Inc. stated this in its semi-annual report to investors.
According to the report, in the first half of 2022, players spent on average 20% more money on PUBG purchases than in the same period last year. Only 6% of the company's revenue comes from the domestic market in South Korea.
