PUBG could switch to Free to Play model
The developers of PUBG: Battlegrounds are considering switching the game to the Free to Play distribution model. This was reported by dataminer PlayerIGN.
According to him, next month KRAFTON will arrange a few days of free access to PUBG and during this time will monitor player feedback. Accordingly, if the community will take a positive view of the weekly F2P test, then this monetization model can be introduced on a permanent basis.

They’re going to track player responses in a F2P week that’s happening next month.
