SEA qualifier for the PUBG main event would take place in Thailand

Recent news of the first major PUBG tournament with really solid prizepool has lit hope in the hearts of gamers: probably this would become a breath of fresh air for the whole PUBG competitive scene. And according to Mineski web the first qualifier will take place in the spectacular surroundings of Savage Thailand:

ASUS ROG and MET have announced the beginning of the PUBG Southeast Asia Championship presented by ROG. The regional tournament will serve as a qualifier for the upcoming PUBG Global Invitational (PGI), which is set to take place in Berlin, Germany in July 2018.

The best PUBG squads from the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam will be able to test their mettle against each other as they fight for a slot in the PUBG SEA Championship Regional Finals in Thailand on June 22-23, 2018.

The tournament will run concurrently across five different national qualifiers with six different nationalities

The National Champions from Thailand and the overall Regional Champions will both advance to the PUBG Global Invitational in Berlin to represent the Southeast Asian region.

The PUBG Southeast Asia Championship presented by ROG will officially kick off on April 28, 2018 and is open to all PUBG squads who are ready to challenge the best teams for the right to be called SEA's top PUBG squad.
