FaZe Clan is the first invited team for IEM Katowice
The first large-scale PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds LAN event of 2018 is set to take place in just over a month, and now we know the name of the first team that will be competing for a share of a $50,000 prize pool – FaZe Clan has received the first direct invite to the upcoming tournament!
FaZe Clan finished top-4 at the latest IEM PUBG championship in Oakland and earned $20,000 in prize money. Before that current FaZe Clan roster was playing under a name of Gorilla Core e-Sports. In November 2017 North American club has acquired the Gorillas whole PUBG line-up.
IEM Katowice PUBG Invitational will take place from Feb. 24 to 25. Nine of the sixteen participating teams will receive invites to the event, with the rest battling their way via the online qualifiers.
