PUBG among the top D.I.C.E. Award nominees
The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) has nominated 68 games for awards in the 21st annual D.I.C.E. Awards event. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is among the most notable titles: it has received 4 nominations this year – Action Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay, Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, and Game of the Year.
In the main category ("Game of the Year") PUBG has exactly four rivals: Cuphead, Horizon Zero Dawn, Super Mario Odyssey, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. You can check out a full list of the nominees here.
Winners will be announced at the DICE Awards ceremony on Thursday, February 22nd in Las Vegas. It will be streamed live beginning at 8 p.m. PT/11 p.m.
Last november PUBG won two Golden Joystick awards: best multiplayer game and best PC game of the year. On that day Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene has also received seven Guinness World Records awarded to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. You can read the details here.
