PUBG Developers Announce First Cycle of PUBG Global Series 2026

The developers of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS have revealed details about the PUBG Global Series tournaments for 2026. According to the official announcement, the competition will introduce a new circuit format.

For the first time, PUBG Global Series (PGS) introduces a Circuit format — three series linked together as one circuit, where three consecutive weeks of competition tell a single, connected story. <...>

Previously, PGS events operated as individual, standalone tournaments. Starting in 2026, three series are connected as a single circuit — a three-week competition structure where results accumulate and carry forward.

The first cycle — PGS 1–3 — will take place in Seoul, South Korea, without a live audience. Twenty-four teams from around the world will compete over the course of three weeks.

During Series 1 (Week 1), all 24 teams will start from scratch and compete through several stages to form the initial standings. In Series 2 (Week 2), teams will be seeded based on the results of the first series, with the opportunity to move up or down in the rankings.

The final stage will take place in Week 3, when the cycle reaches its conclusion. Based on the results of the first two weeks, the top 16 teams will qualify for the grand finale and compete for the cycle championship title.

The 2026 season will consist of four cycles (12 series in total). The prize pool for each cycle will be $500,000.
