New Details Revealed for the 2026 PUBG Esports Season
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS developers have shared new information about the competitive esports season planned for 2026. This year, the calendar will include four PUBG Global Series tournaments, two regional series, and several major global events: PUBG Nations Cup 2026, Esports World Cup 2026, and PUBG Global Championship 2026.
Each PGS tournament will feature 24 teams — 12 global partner teams and 12 squads that qualify through regional competitions. Every PGS event will last three weeks, with a total prize pool of $500,000 per cycle: $100,000 allocated to each of the first two weeks and $300,000 awarded during the final week.
PUBG Global Championship 2026 will bring together the top eight teams based on PGS points, along with 24 teams from regional series, including the top four representatives from the European PEC.
For 2026, PUBG Studios has allocated $1 million to support partner teams and an additional $130,000 for regional cup prize pools. The developers also plan to revamp the Pick’em Challenge, introduce new fantasy events and an Esports Pass, and improve synchronization between ranked mode and the PUBG esports ecosystem.
