PUBG Developers Reveal Measures to Combat Cheaters

The developers of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS have published a new blog on the game’s official website, highlighting their latest efforts and successes in the fight against cheaters.

Hello players,

We’ve been continuously strengthening our measures against cheats to ensure a fair and enjoyable gameplay environment for all players.

Today, we’d like to share an update on our recent actions.

Ban Update: DMA-Based Hacks

As announced in August, we’ve been enhancing our proprietary anti-cheat solution, Zakynthos, to combat DMA-based hacks.

We have been consistently monitoring DMA-based hacks and applying penalties. Including the 30,000 accounts banned in August, more than 80,000 accounts have now been permanently banned.

Furthermore, through a detailed analysis of attempts to bypass our anti-cheat systems, we have permanently banned over 50,000 additional accounts.

These actions are part of our ongoing process, from precisely detecting cheats to enforcing bans.

Moving forward, we will continue to monitor and improve our anti-cheat measures, taking prompt action to ensure a fair and enjoyable gameplay environment for everyone.

Actions to Ensure Fair Play

We continuously monitor activities that violate our Rules of Conduct to maintain a fair gameplay environment. Recently, we detected hacks being used to manipulate certain software.

These manipulations were found to remove or reduce weapon recoil, giving players unfair advantages. Such behavior is a clear violation of PUBG’s Rules of Conduct.

We take strict action against accounts engaged in these activities, and over 50,000 accounts have already been permanently banned.

Examples of Prohibited Activities

  • Linking hacks with other software to enable abnormal gameplay
  • Altering or tampering with certain software to gain unfair advantages
  • Other misconduct that violates our Rules of Conduct

We’ll keep working hard to provide a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone.
