PGS 8 Peak Viewership Drops Over 20% Compared to PGS 7

Esports analytics platform Esports Charts has released the final viewership statistics for the recently concluded PUBG Global Series 8, which ended with BB Team’s championship victory.

PGS 8 recorded a peak of 270,000 viewers, marking a decline of more than 20% compared to PGS 7, which peaked at 343,000 viewers. The tournament averaged 88,000 concurrent viewers per day, aired for a total of 26 hours, and accumulated 2.3 million hours of watch time. In terms of peak viewership, PGS 8 ranks as one of the less popular entries in the series.

PGS 8 was held from May 12 to 18 in Shanghai, China, and featured 24 teams from across the globe competing for a total prize pool of $300,000.
