PaG3 Retires from PUBG Esports

Finnish esports player Paavo "PaG3" Voutilainen, 25, has announced his retirement from professional PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. In a statement on social network X, he cited a loss of interest in the game as the reason for stepping away.

I have decided that i will not be continuing in PUBG esports. Unfortunately I have lost all the spark, and fun playing this game.

With multiple attempts to find the spark and fun back in this game, I've always came back to the conclusion that this is just something I've done for too long, I haven't had fun doing it for a long time and it feels like I've grown over of what competing in this game gave to me.

It was always my dream as a kid to compete in the highest level, and make a living playing a video game. I will forever be grateful about all the people i got to meet, compete with, and the experiences this game gave to me. Memories that will last for the rest of my life.

This has been everything for me in my life so far, and therefor I'm taking a step to the unknown. I'm not entirely sure what i will be doing in the future, but i will be looking for what kind of doors can be opened now that this one is closed.
Even tho PUBG Esports has been messy at times, I wouldn't change the past 6+ years to anything else. Thank you to all the fans who supported me throughout my career, thank you to all the amazing people that i got to compete with, and against.

Thank you PUBG

PaG3 began his competitive PUBG career in 2018, playing for teams such as Zoekt een Naam, Omaken Sports, HEROIC, and Spacestation Gaming. Over his career, he amassed approximately $227,000 in prize earnings.
