Gen.G Disbands PUBG Roster Following Contract Expirations
Korean esports organization Gen.G has officially disbanded its PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS roster, marking the end of an era for the team. According to the announcement, the contracts of all players have expired, leaving Kim “Barpo” Min-jae, Kim “Rex” Hae-chan, Seong “Tosi” Yun-mo, and Jeong “Adder” Ji-hun as free agents.
Speculation suggests that Jeong “Adder” Ji-hun may retire from professional PUBG competition.
The team faced a challenging year, finishing 17th at the 2024 PUBG Global Championship. However, Gen.G also showcased strong performances earlier in the season, securing a top-four finish at PGS 6 and placing 11th at PGS 5.
The organization has not announced any plans for a future PUBG roster.
