WackyJacky101: "The current random map queues in PUBG are far from random"

WackyJacky101, a well-known content maker in the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS community, shared his thoughts on the game's map selection system on Twitter.

The current random map queues in PUBG are far from random. Rondo as featured map while also being part of the random map queues results in much more Rondo servers being started. Depending on time of day this could mean up to 60-80% higher chance of Rondo in “Random queue”. (Random map queue prioritises already started instances of servers and will funnel players into these before initiating a new server triggered by the actual random map queue.)

Overall this seems to be a good compromise of having featured map without splitting up queues. It does however compromise the random queues and that could be misleading to players!
