Krafton & Tencentwill receive $10 million compensation from PUBG Mobile hacking group

Tencent and KRAFTON, the developer and publisher of PUBG Mobile, won a lawsuit against the cheats creators of the mobile titlte. The  court orders authors of the banned programs to pay the parties $10 million as a compensation for damages.

The defendants must terminate their illegal activities, as well as provide detailed information about the hacking methods used. All the data hackers provide will be used for further improvement of the PUBG Mobile anticheat system.

“Millions of players worldwide enjoy PUBG Mobile and we will ensure a level playing field for everyone,” Rick Li, the producer of PUBG Mobile at Tencent Games, said in a statement. “Sadly, the actions of hacker groups undermine the fairness of the game. These Judgements send a clear message that we will not tolerate cheating in PUBG Mobile.”
