Custom Match Update - Open Beta Test

Hi everyone,
Earlier this year, we promised to make custom matches available for more players. As our first step towards fulfilling that promise, we’re making custom match access available to everyone on our test servers. Our plan is to expand this test to live servers, once the system is proven to be stable.
When you create your own custom match, you can play PUBG your way. Customize every aspect of the game, from circle behavior, item/vehicle spawn rates, to loadouts and more. You can even create and customize War Mode and Zombie Mode game types, then invite as many (or few) players as you want to join. Create private matches for friends, or public games so the whole world can enjoy your creation.
Remember that this is a test, so some elements might be rough and we’ll need your feedback about the system. Is it easy to find games and create games? How easy is it to get a full lobby? What could be improved with the feature? Just let us know in the comments here (or anywhere else where we have an official presence), and we’ll continue to iterate over time to improve custom matches. Please be aware that if demand for custom matches is unexpectedly high, servers could become unreliable. We’ll keep you updated and fix problems quickly as they arise.
Throughout the open beta, custom games creation will be limited to 10,000 concurrent running games to ensure a stable service. Creating custom matches won't have an associated cost during this phase. However, due to the extremely large amount of resources required to allow custom games to be available to all players, we may change this in the future to ensure everything runs smoothly and the system remains sustainable long-term. We're open to your feedback on this system and we'll have more details on this aspect of the system later.
We’ve also made some improvements to the UX for custom matches which are rolling out at the same time. Let’s talk about all the changes!

First, whenever creating matches, you’ll first select the high-level mode type.
Once you’ve selected your mode, you’ll see a list of available custom matches that have already been created.

Basic details like map, team sizes, perspective, current player count, etc. are all shown here.
You can use the page numbers at the bottom to quickly navigate through the list, or click the “filter” button in the top-right to more easily sort through the available options.

When you’re creating your own match, each game mode has one default preset available and additional presets which will allow you to easily enjoy other game modes will be added in the future.
Here are a couple of images showing just some of the settings you can adjust:

Once you’ve created your match, you can easily move players around to adjust the team structure.

As before, you can set a password to keep your match private. Soon you’ll also be able to set a “spectate password” for events.

That’s all for now! Be sure to check out the new custom match UX when PC 1.0 Update #18 hits the test servers.
Thanks,
The PUBG Team
