KRAFTON Has Ceased Development of PUBG: Black Budget

KRAFTON has officially ceased development of its tactical extraction shooter set in the PUBG universe, titled PUBG: Black Budget, which was announced last year. This decision was made following two rounds of closed alpha testing (in December 2025 and June 2026).

After analyzing the current state of the project's development and its future direction, we concluded that with the current approach, we would not be able to create a gameplay experience that players could enjoy in the long term. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to cease development of PUBG: Black Budget.

We sincerely thank everyone who took the time to participate in our closed alpha tests and share their feedback. PUBG STUDIOS will incorporate the experience gained during development and testing into future projects and will continue to listen to players while exploring new gaming opportunities.
