Collaboration: PUBG x aespa

※ The PUBG x aespa collaboration world features are available until the next update.

World

The PUBG x aespa collaboration brings aespa’s signature metallic punch into the PUBG world. Check out the upcoming PUBG x aespa collaboration announcement for more details!

  • Mysterious arenas styled after an aespa concert venue have appeared on Miramar, and several buildings across the map have been transformed into PUBG x aespa Rest Stops.
    • The conditions for playing music videos are the same as the PUBG x aespa Emote Stage.
  • There will be a PUBG x aespa Emote Stage on some starting islands of every 8x8 km map.
  • Many other maps have aespa visuals such as themed Care Packages and planes as well.

PUBG x aespa Emote Stage

  • The PUBG x aespa Emote Stage is available on some starting islands of Erangel, Miramar, Vikendi, Taego, Deston, and Rondo.
  • Performing a PUBG x aespa emote on the stage will trigger the corresponding music video.
    • On Console, album images will be displayed instead.
      • For the track "Dark Arts," this applies to both PC and Console.
    • You can either join the emote on the stage or cheer along from below the stage by using the Interaction key.
  • Only PUBG x aespa emotes can be performed on the stage.
    • Different emotes cannot be performed while a particular music video is playing.
  • The music video will stop playing once the emote ends.
  • The PUBG x aespa Emote Stage on the starting islands can be utilized from the start of the match until players board the plane; once they do, the previously positioned stage will disappear.
  • Available in Normal Match, Ranked, and Casual Mode.

New Lobby Music

For the PUBG x aespa collaboration, a new lobby music, "PNC 2025 Anthem (aespa - Dark Arts)," has been added and applied as default.

Gameplay

Adjustments have been made to several gameplay features and items.

※ The following changes apply to both Normal Match and Ranked.

  • The Red Zone will no longer appear from Phase 3 onwards.
    • Applies to Erangel, Deston, and Taego.
  • The maximum speed and durability of the BRDM-2 have been reduced.
  • The world spawn amount of C4 has been reduced.
    • Applies only to 8x8 km maps.

Dev’s comment: Since Update 36.1 introduced various features and items that were previously exclusive to Normal Match into Ranked, we've been closely monitoring community feedback. With this update, we’re focusing on features that received the most attention from players, aiming to deliver a more satisfying and balanced gameplay experience. We'll continue to carefully listen to your feedback through various channels and apply improvements where needed.

Vehicle Camo Netting

The Vehicle Camo Netting has been improved based on player feedback.

  • Durability has been increased.
    • In certain situations, including those listed below, the camo netting will be instantly destroyed:
      • The vehicle’s durability reaches 0
      • The vehicle moves or tilts
      • The vehicle’s tires are destroyed
  • Weight: 20 → 15
  • Now available on Rondo and Taego

(PC) UGC Alpha

The PUBG UGC Alpha, first introduced in the 2025 Roadmap, makes its debut with Update 36.2.

UGC Alpha will run for three months, from July through September.

  • Before the official launch of UGC Alpha in August, you’ll be able to participate in UGC Alpha sessions in July.
    • While session creation will be limited to PUBG Partners and esports players, anyone can join and play in those sessions. We encourage everyone to jump in and check it out!
  • In August, when UGC Alpha officially launches, any player with a BATTLEGROUNDS Plus account will be able to create their own UGC Alpha sessions in Custom Match.

※ Please note: UGC Alpha will initially be available on PC only. As this is the very first version of PUBG UGC, we appreciate your understanding around some of its early limitations.
